Social Media & Digital Marketing Assistant

About Brothers International Food, LLC:

Brothers, based in Rochester N.Y., is a highly successful food company with two distinct and complementary divisions: (i) the Ingredients Division, a value-added importer and distributor of unique and exotic fruit ingredients sold to large food and beverage companies and (ii) the Brothers All Natural division, the market leader in branded, private-label, and co-branded freeze-dried fruit snacks sold through supermarket, mass, drug, and e-commerce retailers.

Position Summary:

This position will be a project-based position with projects determined by the Brothers All Natural division. The various projects and tasks will fall within email promotional set ups, informational sites, social media, and digital marketing; to include product promotions, advertising and optimization of platforms and informational pages.

Essential Functions:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Create engaging content for multiple brands for digital marketing and social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, e-commerce, blog posts, email, and marketing campaigns.
  • Manage overall Facebook business and advertising strategy with marketing strategy.
  • Provide excellent customer service on various social media platforms.
  • Utilize Google Analytics, pulling data from social and site analytics tools to create and present reports outlining performance.
  • Build brand awareness and drive growth through influencer and another brand partnership.
  • Use excellent writing skills in the creation of copy (press releases, sell sheets, social copy, ad copy, website copy, blog posts etc.) that feature interesting and engaging content.
  • Assist with email promotions and marketing.
  • Research and stay current with social media platform capabilities/trends.
  • Have a background or interest in learning the food industry.
  • Hold a monthly team meeting to analyze social media competitor’s online presence and analytics compared to Brothers All Natural.
  • Collaborate with teammates to prepare monthly social media schedule, complete with ideas for graphics, social media partnerships and influencer marketing.
  • Knowledge of updates and changes to Facebook’s Advertising Platform
  • Up to date on the latest trends and technologies in digital marketing
  • Monitor online conversations via social listening tools and call out opportunities for heightened engagement.
  • Provide aid with purchases associated with promotional products, ideas, ordering and distribution.
  • Support general departmental initiatives to promote brand through marketing activities, literature, materials, and trade shows.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelor's degree preferred and/or experience in related discipline.
  • Skilled with social media/ecommerce Management tools: Facebook Advertising and Business Manager, Google Analytics.
  • Expert in social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Experience with both B2B and B2C marketing
  • Familiar with Social Media Management and listening tools such as Hootsuite
  • Familiar with email marketing platforms such as Klayvio
  • Familiar with ecommerce platforms such as BigCommerce and or AmeriCommerce
  • Understanding of targeting and segmenting audiences to meet marketing goals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and solid judgment on handling issues on the fly
  • Proficient at multi-tasking and managing various projects for different brands.
  • Basic understanding of SEO practices
  • CRM experience
  • Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with CMS’s like WordPress a plus
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS a plus
  • Knowledge of ERP systems a plus
